About CEPR:-

Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) is an independent think tank, which works in macro-economy, politico-economy, public policy, banking, agriculture, infrastructure, energy, international trade, manufacturing sectors. CEPR helps government in shaping the policy, via sector reports, stakeholders consultations, policy briefs etc. Along with this, CEPR also helps organisations to understand the public policy and the market scenarios. CEPR fills up gap between industry and policymakers and strivEs to make both ends meet. Nationally, CEPR is network of nearly 50 odd professionals and economists, who are regularly contributing to make the work more meaningful. At present we operate out of two offices, Noida in Delhi NCR and Chandigarh.

 

Our Mission:-

The mission of Centre for Economic Policy Research is to make a contribution towards SUSTAINABLE development of BHARAT. CEPR will make an effort for development of people centric economic policies through provision of high quality survey data to guide policy formulation, generate discussion amongst key stake holders and evidence based planning and research in the social and economic sectors of the country. CEPR will strive to facilitate consensus and integrate co-ordination in the field of economic policy research.

 

Objectives:-

  • Enhance research capacity by studying & monitoring changes in the country.
  • Inform policy and decision making by producing sound empirical evidence.
  • Provide data and tools that can be useful in the evalution of policies in the social and economic sectors.
  • Conduct comparative surveys that would place Indian indicators in a regional and international prospective.
  • To conduct interdisciplinary research in analytical and to assist both central and state governments by undertaking systematic studies of resource potential, identifying factors influencing growth and economy for reducing poverty and unemployment.
  • To establish fruitful contacts with other institutions and scholars engaged in social science research through collaborative research programmes and seminar, and to conduct training courses and refresher programmes for university and college teachers and public functionaries.
