Post Budget Discussion-2019

Post-Budget discussion was organized by Centre for Economic Policy Research or CEPR at India International Centre, New Delhi on February 2, 2019.
The assembly witnessed  the presence of experts from various disciplines, like Gopal Krishna Agarwal (National Spokesperson, Economic Affairs  BJP, Independent Director, Bank of Baroda) ; Prof. Ila Patnaik (Ex- Principal Economic affair GOI, Professor at National Institute of Public Finance) ; Dr. Subhash Sharma, Director of CEPR ;  Dr. Ashwani Mahajan (National Co-Convener, Swadeshi Jagran Manch) ; Mr. Sumant Sinha (Chairman & MD of Renew Power) ; Dr. Tajamul Haque (Agriculture expert CSD) ; Mr. Saji Narayan (Head of Bharatiya Majdoor Sang), who gave their precious ideas to make constructive analysis of the budget in order to bring those deficient sectors of the economy which have a scope for improvement. Mr.  Anilesh Mahajan, Senior Associate Editor – India Today,  moderated the event.

Various schemes introduced by the government were magnified by the panelists with constructive approach. Further, the efforts of the government for weaker and middle sections were shortlisted by the panel. Moreover, benefits provided to housing and construction sector were also discussed. Special emphasis was given to banking sector and petroleum prices and also to improve the status of labour and farmers.
Suggestions were laid by the panelists regarding advancement of education system for the procreation of employment opportunities.
The discussion was concluded by Dr. Subhash Sharma with optimistic attitude towards the budget that it will serve the purpose of farmers, weaker and middle section of the nation.
